Feenics Announces Integration with Hanwha Wisenet Wave VMS

The newest integration to our flagship, enterprise-class Access Control as a Service Platform provides enhanced video verification capabilities for alarm activity and people verification for joint end users.

Ottawa, Can. – March 11, 2021 — Feenics, an Ottawa based provider of forward-thinking Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) solutions, today announced a new integration with Hanwha Techwin’s Wisenet Wave IP Video Management System as part of its Keep by Feenics™ cloud-hosted access control platform.

The Wave Wisenet and Keep by Feenics integration provides a unified monitoring experience for system operators and includes the ability to view live video, review archived video related to alarm activity, and export recorded video clips, all from within the Keep Windows App.

“The Wisenet Wave video platform from Hanwha is a great addition to the Keep ecosystem,” explained Paul DiPeso, Executive Vice President at Feenics, “their forward leaning approach to IP Video gives our customers exciting new options for integrated cloud-based video solutions.”

Additional capabilities available with the integration include the ability to utilize camera PTZ controls from within Keep as well as the ability to capture individual image snapshots of a current frame from both the live video feed and from the recorded video feed.

“The user experience is quite seamless,” DiPeso continued “as an example, Wave cameras can be automatically loaded into Keep and then be assigned to specific hardware devices for fast video recall when alarm activity occurs. Camera icons can even be placed on our graphical maps so that video can be accessed from there as well.”

Feenics Unveils its CloudForce Alliance Program

CloudForce Cloud Based Access Control Partner Program

Ottawa, Can. – January 20, 2021 — Feenics, an Ottawa-based provider of forward-thinking Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) solutions, today announced the creation of its CloudForce Alliance Program. CloudForce is a premier partner program designed to distinguish best-in-class systems integrators whose performance, investment in supporting Feenics’ customers, and commitment to promoting cloud-based solutions align with Feenics’ core principles and philosophies.

“We are thrilled to launch a program that delivers many benefits to both our end-user and VAR customers,” stated Sam Shalaby, CEO for Feenics, “first and foremost, we envision that the presence of a CloudForce Alliance shield will signal to the end-user community that they are in good hands when partnering with a CloudForce member. They can be confident that the integrator has made significant investments to optimally support their needs.”

“CloudForce is a way for Feenics to recognize and reward our elite performers whose loyalty to Feenics AND commitment to their customer’s success creates a win-win scenario for everyone involved within the Keep ecosystem,” added Jeff Ross, Director of Global Marketing for Feenics “our aim is to build a tight knit community of elite system integrators who can collaborate with each other on cross regional projects, share best practices amongst themselves, and leverage each other’s expertise to best serve the interests of our collective end-user customers.”

The unique benefits offered by Feenics are only enjoyed by those alliance members that qualify for this program. A sample of benefits include lead generation, collaboration opportunities with other alliance members, and direct involvement with product strategies.

“When we made the decision to create a partner program, it was imperative that it was not like most cookie cutter programs in the market today,” stated Paul DiPeso, Executive Vice President for Feenics “for this program to be meaningful, it needs to deliver value to our end-user community as well as our partner community. Our vision is that end-users will recognize the value of partnering with a CloudForce member and that our systems integrator community will see equal value, and thus make achieving this status a priority in their organization.”

Mercury EP Series Controllers Trade-In Program!

Ottawa, Can. – December 15, 2020 — We are excited to announce a limited-time trade-in program for Mercury end of life EP Series controllers and their Series 1& 2 downstream boards. This program allows Keep customers to upgrade to Mercury’s new cyber hardened LP series “red boards” at a discounted price.

As you know, Mercury end-of-lifed their EP Controllers and Series 2 “green boards” approximately one year ago. The EP controllers, designed in the mid-2000s, are no longer available. More importantly, they no longer receive firmware/feature updates, except for Mercury deemed critical issues.

While Keep will continue to support the EP / Series 2 boards for the foreseeable future, there are many reasons to consider migrating to Mercury’s latest hardware. The primary motivation to migrate is the LP series boards considerably improve an installation’s cybersecurity readiness. Cyber specific features include:

  • Up to date and modern encryption via TLS 1.2 Support (the same encryption level that online financial / banking applications use)
  • 1x Support (for the ability to authenticate on your network)
  • OSDP Secure Channel Support
  • FIPS 140-2 use of OpenSSL
  • Crypto Memory Chip
  • Strong Password Enforcement

Additional features include:

  • Improved Processor & Additional Memory
  • PoE+ (LP-1501)

As a reminder, the EP controllers only support TLS 1.1, which is an outdated encryption standard and a potential attack vector. The new LP controllers not only support TLS 1.2, but they are also designed to support future encryption standards. For many IT/Cyber teams, this feature alone is reason enough to upgrade to the latest controllers.

To ease the economic burden of moving to new hardware, Feenics for a limited time, is offering a significant discount on qualified controllers and downstream devices.

Offer ends March 31st, 2021!
