Ottawa, Can. – August 1, 2016 – Feenics, Ottawa, Can., announced the appointment of Denis Hebert as President and Equity Partner, effective August 1. Hebert, currently the Chairman of the Board of the Security Industry Association, has an extensive and distinguished career in security. He joins other team members at Feenics, including former systems integrator Sam Shalaby, Chief Executive Officer and Paul DiPeso, Executive Vice President, with the goal of forging a fundamental shift of access control specifications to cloud-hosted platforms.

Hebert’s notable career includes 12 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of HID Global Corp., as well as Executive Vice President for ASSA ABLOY. He previously spent 17 years with Honeywell, having held executive positions in Canada, France and the U.S.

Hebert said his focus will be to further enable the successes Feenics has achieved in bringing cloud-hosted solutions to market in the systems integration and value-added reseller communities.

“I am excited to be part of this journey with Feenics, as the access control paradigm shifts to cloud computing, providing a wealth of new service offerings to systems integrators and their customers. In every industry there are evolutions, and the cloud alternative to access control is a significant transformation in physical access management,” Hebert said.

Sam Shalaby, CEO and Founder of Feenics and a former systems integration company owner, said Hebert adds further depth of experience from the manufacturing side of the business and a strong network of industry connections to complement the company’s expansion goals.

“We are extremely excited to have Denis join the team and expedite the growth of Feenics,” said Sam Shalaby. “He understands our go-to-market strategy and will join our day-to-day cadence as we continue to expand Keep in the field.  The combined experience of Feenics company management in systems integration and manufacturing will foster further expansion,” he said.

Paul DiPeso, Executive Vice President said Feenics welcomes Hebert’s depth of experience in access control technologies.

“Denis has a proven track record over his career and is well-respected within the security industry.  We are fortunate to be able to tap his wealth of experience, especially as we prepare to take Feenics to the next level.  Having worked under his leadership in the past, what’s always impressed me has been his desire to have strong relationships at both the integrator and end-user level.  That’s powerful,” said DiPeso.

Feenics and PSA Security Network Announce Vendor Partnership

By Feenics Blog No Comments

From www.psasecurity.com:

WESTMINSTER, CO., June 4, 2015 —PSA Security Network, the world’s largest electronic security cooperative, today announced a new vendor partnership with Feenics, Inc. Feenics offers cloud-based access control solutions including their flagship product Keep, a fully cloud-enabled solution for the configuration, commanding and real time monitoring of physical access control installations.

“Feenics had established a good working relationship with several PSA member companies who were early adopters of cloud based technology”.  Says Brian Matthews, director of sales at Feenics Inc.  “We are very excited to extend this partnership in the PSA organization.  It’s great to work with companies who not only understand the value that cloud and SaaS deliver to their organizations, but more importantly to the customers that we serve collectively”.

Keep by Feenics does not require a dedicated, on-site server lowering the overall total cost of ownership.  At the same time, Keep is a great model for integrators to earn additional streams of recurring monthly revenue through hosted and managed services.  In addition, Keep uses proven and open field hardware from Mercury, and HID’s VertX and Edge.

“PSA is excited to begin our new partnership with Feenics,” said Craig Patterson, director of vendor management for PSA Security Network. “Several of our integrators saw the potential early on with Feenics and we are proud to have their cloud-based access control solutions as part of the PSA line card.”
